Ms. McGill has been an educator at Channelview High School since December 2009. After 16 years of dedicated service, she concluded her tenure as the campus Speech & Debate coach at the end of the 2024–2025 school year. Under her leadership, the team achieved consistent success, with students qualifying each year for TFA State in events such as Policy Debate, Student Congress, Prose Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, and Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

As a former competitor, Lindsay earned national recognition herself—qualifying twice for NCFL Nationals, earning a State Championship in Group Interpretation through the Florida Forensic League (FFL), and placing 2nd in Duo Interpretation at the NFA College National Tournament.

Lindsay’s path to education began after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida. She worked in retail management and sales across Florida, Alabama, and Texas before obtaining her teaching certification through A+ Texas Teachers in 2009. She is certified in Speech, English, and ESL.

In 2021, she began pursuing National Board Certification—one of the most prestigious honors in education, held by just 3% of U.S. teachers. She earned her certification in December 2024 in Adolescent and Young Adult English Language Arts, a process that required over 100 pages of writing, evidence submission, and video documentation. Lindsay also holds a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Teacher Leadership and Gifted & Talented education.

In her personal time, Ms. McGill enjoys reading, painting, running, and spending quality time with her son, Justin, and boyfriend, Frank.

In 2026, she plans to begin her Doctoral studies, focusing her research on gender-based teaching strategies.
