MLA style might seem like a formatting chore—but it’s actually a tool that signals credibility, clarity, and academic responsibility. In this episode/post, we’re talking about the purpose of MLA formatting, not just how to do it.

Here’s what MLA formatting tells your reader:
You’ve done research and cited it clearly.
You care about detail and academic standards.
You’re writing in a professional, scholarly way.
MLA helps readers trust your work. It keeps your paper clean, organized, and ethical.
Quick Checklist for MLA Style:
12pt Times New Roman
Double spacing
1” margins
Header with your name/page number (also in Times New Roman)
In-text citations (Author page#)
Works Cited page
Still intimidated? Start with just ONE correct citation. Then build from there. You don’t have to be perfect—but you do need to try.
